Team Rushdown discuss the topic of female lead characters in video games. Recently a story came out from Nintendo about their new Legend of Zelda game and its possible inclusion of female lead. To no one’s surprise, Nintendo had a very weak answer as to why there has yet to be a female lead in the series. Michael and Anthony discuss the reasons for this and how the industry itself presents women when in video games as lead or supportive characters. They also discuss the lack of female lead characters and why that may be the case.
