It has begun! Well, almost, to be precise. The sequel to Mortal Kombat ’21 has recently concluded filming, introducing a fresh lineup of fan-favorite characters and new actors to bring them to life!
Joining the cast are Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Damon Herriman as Quan Chi, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, and Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel.
Fans of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will recognize Tati Gabrielle and Adeline Rudolph as familiar faces, now set to portray ninja besties Jade and Kitana. Martyn Ford, known for his role in F9 of the Fast and Furious franchise, brings his imposing size and bodybuilding physique to embody the force of Shao Kahn. Keep your eyes peeled for Karl Urban’s take on Johnny Cage; with his extensive career and diverse character portrayals, his Johnny Cage promises to be intriguing.
Confirmed Cast of Mortal Kombat 2
While I hold a few reservations about Mortal Kombat 2, being a devoted fan of the series and having loved Mortal Kombat ’95, my lukewarm feelings toward Mortal Kombat ’21 make me cautious about the sequel. However, the casting choices provide a beacon of hope, especially with the inclusion of one of my favorite MK characters, Quan Chi.
Are you eagerly anticipating the MK sequel? While there’s no official release date yet, we’ll keep you updated on all our platforms, so stay tuned.
