During the conclusion of the North American Region Finals for Capcom Cup 2019, Ono-san took to the stage to announce the next DLC character for Street Fighter V. It happens to be none other than Street Fighter 3 villain Gill. Using the power of Cryokinesis and Pyrokinesis in tandem, Gill will be able to employ some crazy mixups and setplay. His V-Skill 1 Divine Comet which will allow some crazy juggles and combo potential if both elements hit you. V-Skill 2 allows Gill to parry a la Street Fighter 3. His V-Trigger 1 and 2 give buffs to either his fire attacks or ice attacks. His looks pretty amazing and well worth the long wait. Take a look at his new trailer below:
Also, it was announced that Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be released February 14, 2020 just two days before the 5th Anniversary of the game. Champion Edition will feature all 200 Costumes, 34 Stages as well as the new V-Skills for the entire cast of 40 characters. With Gill’s addition, the roster sits at 39 characters.
