#SFVWinterUpdate Shows Rose, Dan & New V-Shift Mechanic + Season Pass Details

After a long wait, Capcom has released their hotly anticipated Winter Update stream. During the Stream, the developers talked about the new content coming to Street Figther V Season 5. They seemed very excited about the new stuff being added to the game. First up Rose:

Rose has an interesting bag of tricks this time around. Her V-SKill 1 allows her to not only charge her V-meter, but she has various status effects she can employ via Tarot Cards. V-Skill 2 is her famous Soul Satellite. Her V-Trigger 1 gives her a teleport and V-Trigger 2 gives her access to her Soul Illusion ability from Street Fighter Alpha.

Now Dan has a lot of new tricks too. V-Trigger 1 gives him a Super Fireball special move. Also, the V-Trigger is only one bar. V-Trigger 2 works similar to Sakura as he has powered up Fireballs and Dragon Punch. His V-Skill 1 allows him to Taunt Cancel his moves and extend combos. V-Skill 2 allows him to cancel moves into other moves? It’s very interesting and allows for some crazy situations. Also, Dan will be available for purchase on 2/22/21 along with the new training stage and the balance update.

The new battle mechanic is called V-Shift and V-Shift Break. V-Shift is a new defensive mechanic that allows players to get out of bad situations. V-Shift Break is a follow up attack after a successful V-Shift. It has a lot of potential to be very useful.

Street Fighter V Season 5 has a Premium Pass and a regular Character Pass. Premium Pass includes the Character Pass and additional costumes, stages, costume colors, titles and a bonus character Eleven.
