In a bit of surprising news, Mighty No. 9 has gotten yet another release date. This time the long awaited spiritual successor to Mega Man has been slated for June 21st. However, those waiting on the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita versions will have to wait as they are due at “a later date”.
This news comes straight from the director himself, Keiji Inafune in a letter to the backers found on the game’s official website. In the letter, Inafune promises that there will be no more delays and that this date is set in stone. Understandably, there’s a bit of skepticism. The game has faced many major delays with little more explanation than “we need to fix it” but the successful crowd funded game seems to finally be ready to see the light of day.
Are you guys excited? Are you still going to buy it? Let us know.
