Under $40

WitchSpring R – $34.99 (Steam), $39.99 (Console) [Michael’s Pick]
WitchSpring R is a beautifully crafted remake that combines an engaging narrative with solid, customizable gameplay. You play as Pieberry, a young witch facing a world filled with discrimination, as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and battles a tyrannical regime. The game’s unique leveling system, offering milestones for growth instead of traditional levels, adds depth, while the turn-based combat remains fresh and strategic. With its vibrant visuals, captivating soundtrack, and a range of difficulty modes, *WitchSpring R* appeals to both casual players and those seeking a more challenging experience, making it a must-play for RPG fans. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk – $39.99 [Anthony’s Pick]
Sometimes, you’re like me and wonder if a game is really worth the hype. Can it actually be that good? Well, I’m here to tell you: this game is better than you think. With amazing music, stunning visuals, and gameplay that takes a bit of time to master—but once you do? You’re schmoving. You’ve probably heard of this game, but I’m here to confirm it’s well worth the buzz.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – $32.99 (PSN Sale) [Michael’s Pick]
If you’re a fan of classic RPGs, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is a game you don’t want to miss. With its beautiful blend of nostalgic pixel art and modern 3D visuals, it offers a deep turn-based combat system that’s simple to learn but rich in strategy. The vast cast of over 100 unique characters each bring their own stories and skills, making party customization both engaging and rewarding. Beyond the main story, you’ll find fun mini-games, town building, and rich world-building that draw you into the game’s vibrant universe. Whether you’re a longtime Suikoden fan or just love an epic RPG adventure, Eiyuden Chronicles has something special for everyone.

Warhammer 40K Boltgun – $21.99 [Anthony’s Pick]
Do you like old-school DOOM? Do you like purging heretics? Do you like feeling like an unstoppable avatar of destruction? Then this game is 100% for you. I know next to nothing about the Warhammer 40K universe, but what I’ve learned is that being a Space Marine feels damn good, no matter how you do it. While the game spices things up with a variety of weapons, all you really need is your chainsword and your Boltgun to have a blast purging the universe of heretics.

Under $20

Berserk Boy – $20 [Anthony’s Pick]
I have no idea how this game is still under the radar. This Mega Man-inspired platformer boasts a strong art style, fun mechanics, and a price that’s easy to justify. My only complaint is that the voice acting can be a bit stiff, but it’s not a dealbreaker. If the idea of charging into enemies and zapping or burning them down sounds fun, give Berserk Boy a try. Plus, there’s a free demo if you don’t want to take my word for it.

Balatro – $14.99 [Anthony’s Pick]
Balatro describes itself as a poker-inspired roguelite, and honestly, that’s the best way to explain it. The premise is simple: score a certain amount of points with the cards dealt and the poker hands you can make. Along the way, you’ll pick up modifiers, Jokers to boost your score, multipliers, and more. For $15, it’s a game that’s difficult to put down.

Under $10

Ex-Zodiac – $9.99 [Anthony’s Pick]
I found this game completely by accident while trying to scratch that SNES StarFox itch Nintendo left behind. Ex-Zodiac nails that and more. Although it’s still in Early Access, what’s here is definitely worth the asking price. I can see how this is a hidden gem, and I hope to get at least a few more eyes on it. If you miss the on-rails shooting of that era, complete with vibrant colors, big explosions, and barrel rolls, give this game a shot.

Kamiko – $4.99 [Anthony’s Pick]
Kamiko isn’t a deep or complex game. It’s a lighthearted adventure that you can beat in about 3-6 hours, filled with light puzzles, simple combat, and a surprisingly beautiful world. That’s why I recommend it. I think games like this are important. It’s simple, fun, and easy to pick up and put down. Or you can just play it to vibe out for a bit. It’s charming, looks great, has solid music, and for $4.99, it’s a steal.

Lunistice – $4.99 [Michael’s Pick]
A super cute and fun 3D platformer that is brimming with retro nostalgia. It’s fast paced and addicting gameplay will have you hooked for a few hours. Lunistice is currently available on Nintendo Switch and Steam.

World II: Hunting Boss – $2.99 [Michael’s Pick]
If you enjoy boss rush in RPGs, then you’ll love World II: Hunting Boss. Your sole objective is to defeat each boss. There’s no story or real dialogue. It’s strictly about defeating bosses in the quickest and most efficient way. And for $3 it’s not a bad price at all. World II Hunting Boss is available on Xbox and Steam.
