
German Indie developer Matthias Linda dropped the long awaited release date trailer for the upcoming Retro 2D Pixel RPG, Chained Echoes. This game had a successful kickstarter campaign back in 2019 raising over double the asking amount. Since then we’ve been given trailers here and there at various gaming events.
One of the things that really piqued my interest in this game was the Mech battles. It reminded me of Xenogears and Vanguard Bandits for the Playstation 1. It also strikes some resemblance to Chrono Trigger which seems to be an inspiration for this game’s art direction.
Now, we’re just a month away from the official release on December 8, 2022 for Playstation 4|5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam. Check out the latest trailer below:
