There has been a lot of contention about Starfire in the live action adaptation Titans. From casting a Black Woman to her hair and wardrobe, the fandom and some critics have been very vocal about the “inaccurate” costumes. (Though most if not all her costumes were directly inspired by the 80s run of Teen Titans comics.)
The upcoming season of Titans will be on HBOMax and with that (hopefully) a boost in budget for the show means better costumes, visual effects and set design. We were promised an accurate Starfire for season 3 and from the looks of it, it does not disappoint.
