SquareEnix’s special stream for Star Ocean The Divine Force aired this morning on Youtube. During the broadcast hosted by Subaru Kimura (VA for Raymond Laurence), we got to see in-depth gameplay footage. One of the major changes is that battles will be seamless with no transitions similar to the previous game. The characters will use AP points for their attacks and skills, symbology, etc. There’s also a new Stop mode which allows you pause the action and strategize and regroup. The trailers also show two more characters that will be in your party. Your active party is back to four instead of the insane six active party members in the previous installment.
Star Ocean The Divine Force is scheduled for a worldwide release October 27, 2022 for Playstation 4/5 Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and on Steam October 28, 2022.
