For those of you who don’t know, Poglings is a virtual pet game where players adopt and care for their own adorable creatures known as Poglings. These critters are not only cute but they also have their own unique personalities and abilities. Think of it like the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure, but on steroids. And for those of you who don’t know what the Chao Garden is, well, shame on you.
The Chao Garden was a beloved mini-game in Sonic Adventure where players could raise their own cute little creatures known as Chao. These creatures could be nurtured and trained to compete in races, and it was honestly one of the best parts of the game. But unfortunately, the Chao Garden has not made an appearance in a Sonic game in years, leaving fans longing for the good old days.
Enter Poglings. This game has been dubbed the spiritual successor to the Chao Garden, and for good reason. It takes all the elements that made the Chao Garden great and amplifies them to a whole new level. The Poglings are even cuter than the Chao, and they have way more personality.
The creators of Poglings, Yojoyco, set out to raise $40,000 to bring their vision to life, and they ended up raising over $200,000. It’s clear that people are hungry for a game like this, and the fact that it was able to garner such support on Kickstarter just goes to show how much people believe in it. I have to mention that one of the stretch goals was porting this game to Playstation 4|5 and Xbox Series S|X but it hasn’t been revealed if it was made.
The fact that this game was fully funded on Kickstarter just goes to show how much people are craving a game like this. We’re living in a world where everything is so serious and stressful, and sometimes we just need to escape into a world where we can nurture our own little virtual pets.
Not only can you care for your Poglings, but you can also race them against other players’ Poglings. And let’s not forget about the customization options. You can change their color, texture, patterns and much more. So, if you’re looking for a game that’s equal parts cute, fun, and addictive, then look no further than Poglings. Just don’t blame me when you become obsessed with caring for your new virtual pet.
