During the SFV Summer Update, the Street Fighter developers did a deep dive into the gameplay for Akira and Oro. Both characters will be dropping on August 16. The last part of the presentation they finally revealed the last and final character for Street Fighter V. Luke is apparently the “Future of Street Fighter.” He is speculated to be the next protagonist for Street Fighter 6. Luke’s design leaves much to be desired but his gameplay looks promising. I don’t think this was the way to go. Keeping this character under wraps for this long builds anticipation and hype. And this character does not live up to the hype. Luke will be joining Street Fighter V this November just in time for my birthday. What a lovely present from Capcom to me.
