Umbral Core is a brand new indie 2.5D fighting game. The game has been in development since July 2020. The game has a dark fantasy aesthetic much like Omen of Sorrow. The developers are promising a robust and deep fighting game with uncapped frames-per-second and rollback netcode. It’s also going to have a low barrier of entry for all skill levels: easy to learn but hard to master. The gameplay mechanics are supposed to allow for creativity and player expression.
The trailer shows off the main character Byron. One of his gameplay gimmicks is his command dash and Eldritch Surge ability which amplifies certain special moves.
Umbral Core is set to launch their Kickstarter campaign in November 2022. Check out this gameplay clip below:
