The Legendary Masami Obari is responsible for some the greatest video game anime films of the golden era. His art style quintessential 90s anime. His sharp lines, body proportions and vibrant colors are unmistakable. One of my favorite movies he’s done was the Fatal Fury Motion Picture. It has been quite a long time since they have collaborated on a project. Obari-san has since then worked on numerous anime properties including Gundam, Gravion and Super Robot Wars. This reunion is long overdue.
According to his official twitter he will be working on a short film for King of Fighter XV:
“I’ve been asked to work on a special short movie for KOF XV!
It’s been a while since I’ve worked with SNK on an official project, and I’m very happy. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked with SNK on an official project, and I look forward to working with you all!”
