KoeiTecmo released a brand new trailer this morning for Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. It was originally announced during the Xbox/Bethesda Games Showcase two months ago. Everyone speculated that it would be a Soulsborne/Nioh reskin but from this new trailer, that’s definitely not the case. Team Ninja producer Masaaki Yamagiwa recently sat down with IGN to discuss the game’s design philosophy. While the game will take inspiration from the aforementioned games, it will be a more dynamic and action heavy gameplay. It won’t be as methodical but much more intense. Battles will be quick and fast encounters reminiscent of Ninja Gaiden. Weapons will be few and far between unlike Nioh, so you’ll have to get very familiar with them.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is scheduled for an early 2023 release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®️5, PlayStation®️4, and on PC via Windows and Steam®️ The game will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass on console and PC. Check out the new trailer below:
