Indie studio Riyo Games released some early footage of their upcoming pixel RPG Threads of Time. This 2.5 adventure will be developed using Unreal Engine 5. It’s taking inspiration from such classics as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. Much like Chrono Trigger (and Live A Live) you’ll have a party of heroes from different eras of history dating back to pre-historic age into the future. Gameplay will be turn based combat, but it has not been confirmed if that will be traditional turn based or Active Time.
It has been announced that Threads of Time will head to PC and hopefully consoles once it’s released. Check out some of the clips and join their discord for regular updates.
