Dengeki Playstation hosted a livestream of upcoming titles coming out this year and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox was featured with new gameplay footage. The gameplay already is looking incredibly fluid and fast paced. Hopefully the frame-rate stays consistent at 60fps. I think they figured out how to accomplish that with the PS4 port of Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana which ran beautifully.
Somehow our boy Adol has gotten himself trapped on the Prison island of Monstrum with other convicts. I’m sure there is some big conspiracy behind this. We’ll have to wait and see when Ys IX Monstrum Nox releases on the PlayStation 4 this September in Japan. No word yet on a worldwide release but I’m sure we’ll here news of that this fall.
