Michael reviews the impeccable Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for the Playstation 4.
Review Summary:
While the game has limited graphical power, Falcom has been able to play to their strengths which include incredible art direction, scenery and character design. The gameplay is fast paced and high octane but can be repetitive after a while. There’s a lot to do in this game and has a lot of replay value. The biggest improvement on the series is its characterization and story. Music is still as magnificent as you’d expect from Falcom‘s composers.
About the game:
Ys returns with a brand new adventure for the first time in 8 years! Adol awakens shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and the other shipwrecked passengers he rescues form a village to challenge fearsome beasts and mysterious ruins on the isolated island.
