Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Buying it. Getting it. Obtaining it. Purchasing it. I’m sure this is going to be a title that’ll be better with friends. Thankfully I have friends that are just as ready as me to have it, so I’m ready to play this. I really liked the first 2 games and this one seems like more of the same but with a little more flash. I can’t wait to see more, but I know I need it.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Special Episode: I got nothing for this. I’m not a fan of the original and I don’t think co-op will change that unless they change the maps or something. If you’re a fan, it looks…fine?
Bloodstained Ritual of the Night: I. HAVE. BEEN. WAITING! I need it. What I saw looked amazing and made me want to play it until I lost sight. I loved that little Curse of the Moon teaser they gave us and it gave me confidence that they’ll do right by the “inspiration” of it. I love it and I need it.
Dragon Quest Builders 2: Forgive my ignorance, but it looks like a shiny Toriyama Minecraft. Next.
Dragon Quest 11: I want to like it. It looks good. I want to LOVE it even. But, historically speaking, Dragon Quest hasn’t been a series that grabbed me. I don’t know, it seems so…purist and plain. And it looks as though this’ll be more of that. I’m sure people who like Dragon Quest will like this. But I’ll pass on it.
Disney Tsum Tsum Festival: No.
Starlink Update: Just make another StarFox!!
Rune Factory 4 Special: Have you guys ever played Fantasy Life? Quaint little game. I like it. This reminds me of that. Now, I’ve never played Rune Factory so forgive me if that’s kind of the point. However, I think I’ll pass on this one. Looks good and all, but it doesn’t look like something I’d finish. Plus, no real husband goes like “here’s your tea, my love.” Get that out of here.
Oninaki: All they had to say was “from the makers of I Am Setsuna” and I’m on board. Plus, I’m a sucker for the spiritual and occult-esque stuff. Say less. I’m down for it.
Yoshi’s Crafted World: Well…it’s a Yoshi game. After playing Yoshi’s Wooly World, I don’t think this’ll be a bad game at all. It’ll be one of those easy-going platformers, I’m sure. So if you’re not up for that then brace yourself. Or just play the demo. Play the demo.
Fire Emblem Three Houses: So…I am no good as a teacher by any stretch. This being a game where I’m a teacher is…interesting. However, it’s Fire Emblem and I will give it a try for that alone because it’s one of the best tactical RPG series out there. This is a rather unique set up, too. Why you’re set up as a teacher after being a mercenary is beyond me, but I’m going to roll with it. I’m also glad they didn’t do something stupid like split it up into 3 games like they did with the last entries. I look forward to seeing more from it.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses – Nintendo Direct 2.13.2019 – Nintendo Switch
The Black Eagles. The Blue Lions. The Golden Deer. Three noble houses that are part of the Officer’s Academy, an elite facility that trains students in the ways of weapons, magic and special skills. As a professor, the player must choose one of these houses to lead its students in grid-based battles with life-or-death stakes.
Tetris 99: This is just Tetris Battle Royale. However, I love Tetris so…I’ll play it. And it’s free? Why not?
Dead By Daylight: Why? And maybe it’s me, but that demo looked like it was chugging along. Still, I guess this is a solid choice? I didn’t expect it, but I think people will be satisfied.
Deltarune: It’s free Undertale.
Daemon X Machina Demo: There is no reason not to try it. Try it. This game looks amazing and getting a demo of it makes me happy. Try it.
GRID Autosport: It looks…fine. It isn’t my favorite racing game, but it’s fine. But I mean…just get Gran Turismo if you have a PS4 or get Forza if you have an XB1.
Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice: If you haven’t tried this game before, it’s definitely worth it. I believe everyone should play through this, though I think that performance is going to be an issue since it’s such a graphically demanding game. Getting it running is a feat for the Switch, so perhaps they’ve accounted for that.
Of the rapid-fire Headlines, I’m only going to talk about Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. Now…of all the times Ubisoft lied with upscaled performance and graphics…they choose this time, to tell the truth, and show that the Switch port is going to be super rough and just chug along. It just didn’t look great. Maybe it’ll get a bit more polish in time, but I doubt it.
Astral Chain: I will leave this to Michael because I struggle to find excited words that I won’t put in bold or in all caps.
Link’s Awakening: I mean…yay? Not sure who asked for this, but this could have been way worse. Like Legend of Zelda 2 bad.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – Trailer di presentazione (Nintendo Switch)
A 26 anni dalla sua pubblicazione, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening rinascerà su Nintendo Switch quest’anno!
All in all, this Direct was fine. But we can’t end this without talking about what was missing. Bayonetta 3 footage, Joker footage, PERSONA 5 REMAKE FOOTAGE (yes I’m hopeful for that), any Shin Megami Tensei news, and Animal Crossing. It’s speculated they’ll be all saved for E3, except the Persona 5 one which is my personal pipe dream. But what did you all think? Good direct? Kind of lacking? Let us know in the comments.
