It was just announced today that the Japan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable will be streamed live from Japan on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
[Editor’s Note: Friday, July 31 in the US]
This roundtable will include a slew of the fighting game developers from Japan from AAA companies to indie. This will be in part with Japanese Gaming Federation. The roundtable will focus on eSports and updates about their current fighting games on the market.
The list of attendees include:
Arc System Works – Daisuke Ishiwatari (Director of “Guilty Gear” series) and Battle Director Kazutoshi Sekine.
Arika – Ryo Nishitani (Producer of “Fighting EX Layer”).
SNK – Yasuyuki Oda (SNK producer) and Nobuyuki Kuroki (SNK Director). Capcom – Shohei Matsumoto (Producer of “Street Fighter V”) and Takayuki Nakayama ( “Street Fighter V” director).
Koei Tecmo – Yohei Shinbori (Producer of DOA6). From
Bandai Namco – Katsuhiro Harada (“Tekken” series chief producer) and Motohiro Okubo (Producer of “Soul Calibur 6”)
The event will be streamed on their respective Twitch and YouTube channels at 9:00 AM JST/ 7:00 PM CST. Hopefully we get some trailers for the next updates for all these games. Since E3 and Evo 2020 were cancelled, we’ve yet to hear what the next chapter will be. Fans are encouraged to submit questions and topics via Twitter with the hashtag #JFGPR.
